Lesson Plan Overviews Language Arts Lesson Plans: Week One - Students will focus on listening to Chinese folk tales and distinguishing the main characters, scenes, settings and moral of the story. Students will get to participate in group discussion of the elements of the folk tales. Students will then write an original folk tale using a planning page to help with the beginning elements of the folk tale. Week Two - Students will focus on the elements of expository writing using topic sentence, and three points to create essays. Students will be able to analyze the parts of an essay and create essays discussing the dragon boat races.
